Home from Majorca

Im sorry I didn't publish a blog while we were away but we had no wifi at all in our area.  There were internet machines in one of our other hotels but I couldn't get anything from my camera or computer onto it.  We didn't even manage to find an internet cafe.

We started our journey very early and had quite a wait at the airport, especially as our flight was delayed by 30 minutes.  In fact all planes were delayed by 45 minutes as well so our 30 minute delay was swept up in that.  Claire had booked special service, which is free, to help maneuver mum onto the plain in her wheelchair.

What a great service this was; they took us in a large transporter to the other side of the plain and elevated a platform right onto the aircraft.  Mum didn't have to get out her chair until we were onboard.  They then changed our seats so we were right at the front and she didn't have to walk down the plane.  Well done Easyjet!

By the time we got to the hotel is was gone 2am so we didn't see much until the morning.  This is when we found that we had a lovely view of the sea.  You just have to ignore the air conditioning units and pipes.

After breakfast which was very nice, they even had proper sausages rather than fried frankfurters, we had an explore around to find that we have several pools and one of them is indoors.

We are right by the sea high up on rocky cliffs.

The best pool is outside our hotel.  We have three hotels but ours seems to be the best of them all.  The third one isn't open yet anyway until high season.

There is also a cascade waterfall.

The second day we bought tickets for the little train and did the entire tour which takes about an hour.  We didn't fancy getting off anywhere anyway.

It was then back to our hotel where Claire and Mum had a relaxing afternoon around the pool.  They both caught the sun a bit while I retired to our room for the three R’s (reading and righting and relaxing).

We have some lovely cliffs quite near us but I cant find how to get to them.  I think we have a river between us and the cliffs but plenty of people walk along them.

On our last day we had a long walk to where all the shops are where mum has an ice cream and we had soft drinks.  Our rooms are pretty basic but quite nice anyway and we really like the food.  Quite a nice place but you wouldn't want to stay here for too long because there is not that much to do unless you go out on trips or hire a car.  It was a lot better than I expected.  We have still heard nothing about Harriets flat sale end they go away today (Thursday) to Mexico.  Have a great time Harriet and Billy!  When you get back we will overlap for one day and then we are off on our next holiday where we start from Venice and cruise around the Med.  See you then!

  1. Welcome home Phil and Claire. Looks like a really nice place that would suit me and Shirley a treat. Looks like Mum had a good time.
